I placed an ad today in craigslist for $17 an hour work and only had 2 replies!
Last time I ran the ad I had 35 or more applicants!
People are eating out...people are driving their cars...people are taking trips even with high airfares!
People may be being selective as to how and where they go and spend their money, but they are spending and feeling better!
People are moving to better school districts for their children. People who lived in bad school districts and sent their children to private schools are moving to the better school areas and moving out of private schools. Private education has truly been hurt by the economy and most likely will continue to so do.
Please remember the story of the Harvard student who before the recession
came home....told his Dad that things were going to get really bad.... went back to school.
came home again .. dad was at home.... asked dad why he wasn't working ....
dad said "son, you were right" the economy got bad and I was forced to close my food stand.
son..."why, dad?"
First I took down my road signs
Second I cut back on the amount of food I purchased
and sure enough, son, I was out of business!"
God loves us! He provides for us! We need to pray and trust HIM (okay HER)...whatever or however you
see the "one and only".
