The Big Ticket goes to Boston

Every so often...you'll find me blogging about something other than Real Estate.  After all, its my blog!!

Harken back to the 1980's....the Big Three formed the core of a dominant basketball team - one that seemed to have no rival other than the hated enemies clad in purple and gold that were found on the opposite coast.  Alas, for Celtic fans, that was a LOOOOONG time ago.  Since age and injury took their collective tolls on Bird, Parish and McHale, the Celtics just haven't been relevant in over fifteen years.

Sure there was a random bright spot or two.  Dee Brown won a slam dunk contest.  Antoine Walker was a multidimensional star.  We lucked out drafting Paul Pierce at #10.  There was a run to the conference finals in....2002?

But a legitimate threat for the championship?  Nope.  Not until.....today?  C's management traded away some young talent...some very promising young talent (aka Big Al Jefferson).  But to end up with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen and of course Paul Pierce??

I am a very happy Celtic fan today.  And assuming we can find a few solid veterans on the cheap (hey, these 3 guys make > $60 million next year) then we'll cya in the finals!!!

Thanks for Reading :)

Kaushik....  I hate giving up some young talent, but those are some very good names. Out of the 4 major sports though, pro basketball is my least favorite... sorry....  I do love college BB though...  Football is my first and then split between hockey and baseball.  thanks for the update.

It will be interesting to see the impact that this trade has on the Celtics.
