Happy Earth Week Bend!

Earth Week 2010 is celebrated is April 17th through April 25th. April 22nd is the official Earth Day. Earth day began in 1970 and was founded by US Senator Gaylord Nelson. The following year the United Nations adopted Earth Day and celebrated it on the Summer equinox. Now Earth day is celebrated across the world with activites and events focused on educating and inspiring our need to care for the Earth.

Bend, of course, goes all out for Earth Day. Stay tuned for details on the Bend, OR Earth Day Festival, Race and Trash Art Contest.
