The universities in our country are like a chain of "thought control" centers. Sad. Sad.
Good morning Jay,
Your free enterprise quote hits way to close to the problem!
Well, Lenn, the indoctrination actually starts in elementary school. That's really where minds are formed. Then they grow up and teach others!
Dorie, thanks! But it isn't my quote! If you like that one, you would love the John Locke Foundation. He was one of the people whose writings most influenced Thomas Jefferson's thinking.
Jay,
Global warming comes to mind as a shining example of the hoax that can be created and then perpetuated. :)
Steve
Jay,
Your post is now featured on "Celebrating Free Enterprise." Congratulations. :)
Steve
Thanks Steve! Glad you liked it!
I can't totally agree with that in the case of peer-reviewed research and scientific journals. As with anything in life, there is significant competition between scientists, and they'll do everything they can to make sure that the science is valid. It's when government-sponsored or company-sponsored research is reported outside of peer-reviewed scientific journals that problems occur, and that happens more and more frequently in this Internet world since anyone can post anything on the Internet, and with billions of Internet pages, it's difficult to track down the lies and the truths.
All true Russel, but our "president'" so-called "Science Czar" is a political crony and a nut. Not a good mix.
As is what is taught in schools, passing as science. Heck, that was the case when I was in school!
