Here's the latest Hockessin real estate report. Currently in Hockessin 19707 there are properties actively on the market ranging from $180,000 to $989,900. The lower end price is Coffee Run Condominiums (which is a great opportunity by the way) to Southwood Reserve at the current high mark. There are currently 80 actively listed and 26 pended (under contract) properties in Hockessin which is a nice healthy ratio! Properties that have sold and settled since the beginning of 2010 range from $295,000 to $800,000. We have seen some positive changes since the last Hockessin real estate report.

Here's an overall market update for our area which includes nearby Pennsylvania and Maryland. In New Castle County alone we had a 4% increase over this time last year, even with the record breaking snowfall that slowed things down. Buyers are being much more careful than before the real estate downfall and it seems like the real estate market is coming into some semblance of balance as it is moving along nicely.
