You know the old saying "You can't stop progress" and the building of the new high school in Murphy, Texas is progressing right along. This picture was taken towards the end of last week. The following day concrete was poured in various locations. This week driving by you can observe some of the walls going up. There is so much activity going on that the site reminds me of Tonka Town, a computer game favorite of my grandson a few years back who will also be starting high school this upcoming fall.
The location of the high school is 750 N Murphy Road next door to Tom Kimbrough Stadium. On it's north side is the newly rennovated and recently relocated historical church building of First Baptist Murphy. I have observed parents with little ones watching the building of the high school from the church's parking lot.
Please stay tuned for future updates of the building of the McMillen High School.
