To start off, Happy Earth Day - I must confess when I blogged yesterday I may have thought it was Earth Day but I guess today is the Nationwide Recognized Earth Day. Earth Day, Earth Week - as long as we are celebrating Planet Earth and working to Keep Austin Green I am happy.
For those of you who have been following the blog since the start or since last month you may have noticed each month I blog on at least one volunteer activity in an effort to encourage everyone to give back to the city that we love so much, I figure that is the least we can do.
With it being Earth Day, today seemed like the perfect opportunity to encourage you to get out and volunteer. In hindsight, I realize most of us have jobs so this you may not be able to pitch in but if you know anyone that does have some free time today send them over here.
It is Future List Item, "Barton Springs Pool" clean up - we all love Barton Spring (more on them when they are featured) so why not help keep it the Austin Treasure it is.
Wear clothes that you can get wet and dirty in! I must say that this is perfect weather for getting outside and enjoying some fun in the sun, it does not get much better than springtime in Austin, Texas.
