Am I Allowed to Use Beartraps Around My Signs??

Another day of having to make the runs in my local area to replace signs...

Every day, the signs are pulled, and I have to go back out. What a waste of time.

We now have signs up offering a $ 1,000.00 REWARD to anyone that will take a video of the jokers removing the signs from the yards, and entering the houses and taking my signs off the windows as well.

I am handing the reward posters to the neighbors around my HUD listings, and have warned the BROKER who claims the sign crew he has must be making mistakes, as he chuckles....

WHen I get done here, I am going straight to Ebay and see if I can find a bear trap to put around my sign...I know that sounds extreme, but this is now taking time out of my day.  (OK< thats really a joke, no phone calls plz)

Trent Realty has the contract with HUD for exclusive listings, but not exclusive right to sell. However, It is clear that NO OTHER BROKER is ALLOWED to place signs on the properties, and they are not allowed to take our signs out of the windows... Every day these guys have signs on the yard and mine is knocked over...

Only a HUD Broker with a HUD KEY can get in the homes to take the signs out of the windows....when he is caught, we will push the case as legally far as possible, including arrest, and administrative complaints to the Department of Professional Regulation.

Fair warning to the Brokers not playing by the Rules....Trent will pay me the $1000.00 as well as anyone else...I will catch you and hope you LOSE your license.

Code of Ethics may be broken as well, but the culprit may not be a Realtor.  Bad karma.  May they come down with severe stomach pains.

I really hope you catch this culprit and make them pay for their dirty deeds. There is no reason to stoop to this level. If the guilty party put as much effort into their own success as they do in trying to hurt yours, the culprit would be doing much better!

Put out the Bear traps if it's bear season. If not put out a skunk trap and shoot em!!!!!!

File a police report too.  Signs cost money and theft is a crime.  Good luck getting the bad guy.

Hey All thanks for the comments.

 

I have been approaching the neighbors to enlist their help and to of course build awareness that the property is now for sale. Most of them take me up on the offer to tour the home, and some have been instrumental in getting a deal done...

Yesterday one of the neighbors called me with a description of an older gentleman in a brown van that had just came and pulled my signs......Funny thing, one of my "competitors" drives a brown van and is an "older gentleman" 

So I did call him, and I could here the sounds of road noise...but he claimed he was at his office. Now that I know who, I am moving ahead with other pro active actions......Will keep us posted here....

My time is better spent to keep on track and not to be sidetracked with these issues....My company has the contract, and these idiots should just get over their games...Lets see what the Police department and a phone call to the board does ....

We have recently had an issue here with builder who started building in a new home community and their people have removed other builder's signs from their listings.
