In a recent conversation with my trusted long time realtor, I said, You surprise me sometimes, I’m just telling you what I need to settle, in order to be comfortable letting go. It doesn't matter to me what the market will bear, because its a down market as far as I can see we lost 1/2 million in equity, according to our original projection, I feel bad about it, but I'm not crying about it, nor am I saying that my original listed price is what I want.
All of this buying and selling of investment real estate hasn't ended well for us, but I can't hold anyone accountable but I for the mistakes we made. I can only say we need to be comfortable and we need to resolve certain debt otherwise we don't have to sell.
From my perspective you sound like most realtors I have spoken to over the years, you are thinking we are being unrealistic, and unwilling to recognize market price regulation, but from our side we need to resolve our financial obligations and if we get to walk away with some gas and grocery money well that would be great.
When we were buying this property, didn't you say the seller wouldn't budge, he was firm on his price, I'm asking you to have a little walk down memory lane about that, and the fact that when someone wants something they will pay what is need to pay. These bargain basement shoppers are offering a very lowball price, but that doesn't mean I have to accept it. Call me an idiot, call me whatever you want, but please get me what we need to walk away comfortably, and please don't try to make me feel stupid about it.
