Vintage Shelby Mustang Show in Plano Texas

You may or may now know, but LegacyTexas Bank has been around for 47 years in Collin County. The company is owned and operated by the Shelby Family. The same Shelby Family that helped design the first Mustang Shelby in the 1960s (Carroll Shebly):

"In 1965, about a year after the release of the Mustang, Ford decided that they were going to toughen up the Mustang line. So, they asked Carroll Shelby to make their pony car compete with GM's Chevy Corvette. In order to do this, Ford produced a normal white fastback without rear seats or hoods and sent them to Shelby so they could do whatever it was they wanted to do."

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Shelby Cobra Association of Texas, LegacyTexas Bank is hosting the Vintage Shelby Mustang Show.

This celebration is coming to Plano Texas on Saturday April 24th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. If you are a car lover, Shelby Mustang especially a fan of mustangs, you will want to attend this event. Vintage Mustangs will be showcased, as well as the Shelby Family Private Collection.

Location - 5000 Legacy Drive Plano Texas

Date / Time - Saturday 4/24/10 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

There will be Food, Fun, and CASH Prizes. Bring the whole family as the weather should be beautiful. There will also be a live performance from New Element.

Paul - Mustangs have been a solid automobile for years. The Cobra is a great car and quite fast.

I've owned two Mustangs in my life and loved them both. Always loved the Shelby, but was always a little out of reach for me when it came to getting lucky enough to own one. I loved the 1968 Shelby 350 California Special. That one would have to be my favorite. As the name implied, there was just something special about that car.
