The Bluebonnet is the state flower of Texas and we could not have picked a more beautiful or dramatic flower. They only bloom for a few weeks and all along the roads people can be seen stopping to photograph their families with these brightly colored fields.
When First Lady, Lady Bird Johnson choose beautifying America as her pet project, planting wildflowers was a natural spinoff. Mrs. Johnson establised a wild flower initiative and here in Texas our state flower proffitted greatly. Now we all get to be the recipiants of this wonderful site every year.
