Put Them All Together And What Do You Have...

Just this silly blog post that's really about photo technology. :)

Yesterday I mentioned in a comment that I was arriving in Oakland at 11:20 and Laurie Manny asked if I wanted to cab it to San Francisco with Roberta Murphy. Well, of course. 60 minutes into my visit to San Francisco and I'm already alone in a room with two blond women. My wife was thrilled. :)

So, why do they look so pissed?

Here's why. Roberta, when you get a chance, post your version of the bathroom photo in the comments. I brought my handy Kodak v705 and both Laurie and Roberta had just bought brand new cameras. When they saw the wide angle shot of Laurie's small hotel bathroom compared to their versions... well, they weren't all that happy. Here's my quick bathroom shot with no flash.

But what really sealed the deal on the camera for them was the in-camera panoramic capabilities... which I demonstrated for them live outside of the House of Nanking.

Next time put the toliet seat down! I hate RE pictures with the seat up :-) I bought a new camera 6 months ago before I heard about the V750 and I'm kicking myself.

Hi Jeff - when you mentioned them being ticked and then the bathroom, I thought we were going to see something really awful about the bathroom. But you're talking about the CAMERA!?!?!? How could they not have read about your posts about this camera and the magic it does???

Jeff -- In your "worst" picture, you were holding the camera yourself - out at right's length, right? Well, we know what happened! Laurie "accidently bumped" your arm while you were taking the shot - to get even! :-)

I see Laurie and Roberta have not been following all of your photo posts in the past. Oh well, we live and learn don't we. Enjoy yourself....

I'm with Ann. I thought we'd need a HazMat suit to go into the bathroom and stuff.

I have the camera, but i haven't done the panaramic shots yet. I guess I need to find the manual and actually open it.

Teresa was probably making the earth shake. She REALLY doesn't like her photo taken. Considering her extraterrestrial powers, I would suggest you cease and desist. You have a family to remember! ;)

In Laurie's defense ... When she and I went camera shopping they did not have the V705 in stock. She needed a camera ASAP and grabbed the best they had.

As far as you being alone in a room with two blonde's...I better hush up about that.

PS - When taking photos of bathrooms, one of the first rules is Close the lid!

Oh boy.... I knew when I saw all of the fun pics from this weekend I'd be kicking myself for not making it happen! I hope you guys are all having fun.

P.S. After my next closing on the 16th... I am SOOOO buying that camera!!! I've been dying to pick it up since you guys were here a few weeks ago!

Jeff - the camera is pretty amazing - but what's even more amazing is that your wife has not come up there and knocked you out! LOL The title of your post would make most peoples' minds take the wrong road - not mine, mind you, but most folks. ;)

Funny, I read Ines blog the other day about toilet seats up and that was the first thing I noticed about your picture!

jeff, i bought the v705 after reading one of your posts. I love it....for work. Martin has a camera that has been able to produce better results at night, and sunset. It may just be that I don't know how to use it. His also is waterproof to 33 feet and 5 foot shockproof. We both had them on vacation and I liked different things about both. I would certainly prefer mine for work and his for play.

Oh, by the way, my wife agrees with Cindy Jones (and after reading all the comments, most of the other women). She hates the toilet seat up in my pics.

Jeff: I am still pi**ed because I can't find the v705 anywhere. HELP!

Roberta - I got mine on Ebay...they sell new and used. I went for the new one.

When you do order your v705 make sure it comes with the battery charger. I have noticed that some of the sites that sell them do not sell them with the accessories you need.

John Evarts... you need some camera lessons. And, yes, my recommendation was strictly for business purposes. However, I used it exclusively on our vacation. I didn't even take my Canon EOS Digital Rebel.
