Just a little public service announement.
My 11 year old plays Travel Baseball for the West Union Warriors. A couple months back the Moms (lead by me of course) made the statement to the coaches (who happen to be the Dads) that we could coach the boys and have as much fun and probably win a game or 2. Well somehow it got to be something that is actually going to happen.
We will be coaching 3 games on Saturday, May 8 which is Mother's Day weekend. It is going to be wild. I know A LOT about baseball, but not a ton about the ins and outs of coaching. You would not believe that I found the pocket edition of "Coaching Baseball for Dummies" in the clearance of the dollar section at Target. LOL
Anyhow, we are having a fundraiser tomorrow night at the Fuddrucker's in Matthews, NC. The boys asked to do an additional fundraiser so that we could enter this tournament where the Moms get to coach. They like the service oriented fundraisers and that is what tomorrow night is all about. A portion of the proceeds go to our team if patrons mention the "WARRIORS". The boys are also bussing the tables for full tips.
