Hi Gary... nice pictures of the Gem and Mineral Show... I had a rather extensive rock collection years ago. I still have some nice pieces including  a few thunder eggs, a couple of nice pieces of agate, and some nice large quartz crystal. We use to go up north of Cle Elum, Roslyn and Ronald into the hills on Salmon La Sac Road.

Hope you're doing well. I love Grants Pass, what a lovely area. I miss coming down. Take care...

Hi Rene', good to hear from you.  This really is pretty country, we're into our second year now and really enjoying it.  We took a rock we had found to the show, just to see if it was a piece of meteorite, and it turned out to be.  We had intended to throw it away after determining what it was, but we were told it was quite valuable.  So maybe instead of looking for gold, we might start prospecting for meteorites.

Take care.

Regards,

Gary
