A golden field of flowersA royal field of purple flowersThe other day I found a golden field of beautiful flowers.

Nearby I also found a field of beautiful royal purple flowers.

The yellow flowers are wild daisies. They grow just about anywhere. The purple flowers are sea lavender. They grow just about anywhere. Since it was obvious that the two fields had not been specifically planted that way, I wondered how the plants knew to remain segregated, to remain in their fields, to not go beyond their boundaries.

I went beyond the concrete walkway, which was my own boundary, to look for other boundaries. The boundaries were pretty well defined, but I did find a loner:

Where's your boundary?

Is he lost? Exploring? Setting up a new shop, a new territory? Is he the leader in finding a new place to call his own? Or an outcast, having been shown the door by the community? There are many ways to look at things.

If you've lost that enthusiasm, perhaps it's simply time for you to look at things anew, in either your personal life or your business.

Definitely you are an inspiration to deeper thought this morning. I tend to feel the purple flower is the the leader in finding a new place to call his own. Just my take. Now on to the coffee. Great photos Russel and thought provoking post.

Hey Russel,

I share Dick and Dixie's thought. He is a leader and an innovator, "boldly going where no one has gone before".  I am on to follow his lead. Lol.

Hi, Russel. What a clever post! Sometimes the winds of chance blow us where we never thought we'd end up. The trick is to sink some roots and thrive wherever you land.

Now let's see another gardening lesson on how the weeds know to grow somewhere else and all the ground cover that is supposed to scare them away triumphs over the landscape.
