This morning was one of those mornings. I don't know why some days start out like this but I react a lot differently then I use to. I broke a glass, ok, take a few minutes and clean it up. The dog, really my daughters dog but she just got an apartment and I got a fifteen year old dog who thinks she is a cat, wanted to go outside and I am getting late for the office. Off she goes to trot around the yard like the Queen of Siam and she is totally ignoring my request to come in and have a tasty treat. Ok I am getting really late. The Queen decides to return to the peasant at the back door but now because she is fifteen and somewhat rotund, the steps are not working for her. I don't want to pick her up, she doesn't really care for me and besides I did mention her girth. The last time I picked her up I felt my back pull. No matter, I have to pick her up or leave her to torture the neighbors with her barking.
I am really late and rushing out the door, I have to stop to pick up something for the office and I don't have my wallet. I have to return home and find it and now I am so late to open the office that I can imagine the slew of buyers and sellers banging on the door.
The real reason for this blog is that in my younger days I would have been freaking out, but no more, Sometimes Divine Intervention or God or whatever you wish to call It has slowed you down, sometimes really slowed you down, because you need to be where you are. My new theory is if I was on time someone would run a stop sign and crash into me or a brick would fall off the building and land on my head. I know there are no coincidences and plenty of God Winks.

I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, even if we don't understand it at the time.
Great insight Liz, and very wise. We'll never know what did not happen to us because of how our day's path took us.
