Day 3:
Enjoy the many creeks we have in the Great Wilmington area. Take a peaceful canoe or kayak ride and experience nature at Pages Creek, Whiskey Creek, Howe or Hewletts Creek. Our creeks our 'tidal' creeks....meaning you must check the tide tables because you may make your way out to the Intracoastal Waterway via way of one of our creeks....but because the creeks are tidal, you may not be able to get back in because they can go 'down to mud' with very little water....so be careful....plan your trip. Me, I am a watcher on this one, but I love to take in the beauty of the creeks and marshes and just check out the wild life. I'll leave all this fun to the younger more daring types and I'll wait for you by shore for now until I get my ‘creek' legs.
