Dancing with Fireflies....

....What a memory this statement prods the brain into releasing:

  who hasn't had the pleasure of being outside on a warm summer's night;
  where your "child" - residing within - discovers the flitting, perhaps fleeting, tiny lights that surround;
  when you wish for a glass container, with holes punched into the top;
  with which you can temporarily encase the phenomenon & hold it in your hands.

Memories are like that;  memories are "as if";  memories that are retained within a special 'Brain-place';
Memories that you treasured or rejected at first instance
Memories that often are enlarged upon 'recall'

But memories that help us REMEMBER
...what we had;
...who we were;
...where we were headed "back then";
Can only add to our dimension; our depth of self; our totality.

As we spend those moments when our 'memories' encroach upon our 'prioritized reality', recall how great that experience could become.

Memories often 'evoke' themselves at the most inopportune times;
as we are dealing so strongly with the 'present';
as we may be trying so hard to store old or recent memories into that Brain-closet marked "Private- employer access only. "      
    
Memories, technically, are not wishes of / for the 'good old days', rather, they are experiences of our being 'live' at certain moments in time.   Your memories / life's experiences make you distinctly YOU.

Just how is this anything to do with our Professions !

I propose is has Everything to do with who we are;

..how we present ourselves to others [both Agents & Clients];
..how we view those others we meet in & through our Professions;
..how individually, we accept who They are in their individual totality.

In reading various authors speaking on the "Times which we are Living...etc." or listening to & watching the items presented on TV / Cable venues on same--it is obvious that many are either opening up to the past, learning from it,
attempting to apply those principles that were successful or rejecting it as long gone and useless,therefore non-essential.

Can you truthfully think of any person you have met / dealt with in your individual life who could be labeled 'non-essential' ? You may not like, approve of, or desire to deepen the 'meet' , but you did meet & that 'meet' became one of your memories.   

The phrase [the Title of post] was from a PG Movie that was  serious, sentimental & silly all at the same time. [most  story-line PG movies follow that genre`]
 This one ended with the grandfather-[returned as a zombie -don't ask], who enlightened all with the statement that 'now, I am taking your mother--his wife--dancing with the fireflies'.  They did, but as one watched, the ghostly silliness morphed into views of many people from the past-way distant past dancing. The 'over-voice' spoke of the needs for memories of the past & the knowledge found within, with the concurrent impact on the present.

So, as you go about your Business-Professional acts on the morrow-
-YOU are wished wonderful memories, used wisely.
