Spring Time “RE/MAX” Hot Air Balloon Promotions

Although our “Challenge the Wind” school program is the most popular use of “Big Max” during this time of year, there are many other events in local communities where the RE/MAX hot and cold air balloons can be put to very effective use.  This year we attended four “Spring Home Shows” with our 27' tall cold air version of “Big Max”.  In each case the cold air “Big Max” was placed right in front of the building, (usually the local school or community center) where the shows took place so that everyone entering has to walk right by the balloon.  Frankly, it looks like it is a RE/MAX event!  Invariably, the locations are on major local traffic routes so that even those not planning on attending can't miss seeing “Big Max” and wondering what is happening.  Being an added attraction (that doesn't cost them anything) is a major reason the organizers want us there.  As a rule, these events draw large, local crowds and businesses so the opportunity to make solid connections is excellent.

As of this writing we have eight “Challenge the Wind” school programs booked for the Spring.  This is a wonderful program in which everyone wins.  The kids and teachers love it because it is a highly exciting and visually stunning way to bring life to some of the science principals they are just starting to study.   The PTO loves it because it brings something very special to the school at no cost.  And the local media finally has a positive, up-beat school story that doesn't involve a budget fight or teacher situation.  Plus, it is very photogenic so there is a very good chance a picture of “Big Max” will appear in the local newspaper.   As for the RE/MAX agent that sets everything in motion, it is a great chance to take lots of pictures that can be put on their web page with an invitation to all the parents to come see their children standing around the RE/MAX hot air balloon.  Who knows what else they may find on the web page that may be of interest.

If you have a school (middle school is best) you would like to hold the “Challenge the Wind” at, the best thing to do is call or write me directly.  I can walk you through the best way to approach the school and then basically handle it from there.  We still have lots of dates open so now is the time. Hope to hear from you soon.  Till then as we like to say in ballooning, “Keep Looking Up”

Hot Air Balloon Highlight at Pine Glen Elementary School Carnival!

Recently, the Hot Air Balloon visited Burlington, MA at the Pine Glen Elementary School for their annual school carnival.  With the addition of "BIG MAX" at this year's carnival, the school had the largest attendance and raised more money than any previous year.

The funds raised through the balloon rides went to help the purchase of computers, computer hardware & software, instructional materials, playground equipment and more for the kids at Pine Glen Elementary!

RE/MAX Associate, Carol MaxDonald Macri led the promotion effort at this event.  She requested the balloon and successfully promoted the balloon in the community.  Good work Carol!

Click here to read the letter sent from the Principal at Pine Glen Elementary to our Regional Director, Jay Hummer on the success the RE/MAX balloon had during this event.

Community events like this are popping up all the time.  Look into bringing the RE/MAX balloon to these events in your community and bring the same magic that Carol brought to Burlington!
