My Broker at Tennessee Recreational Properties, Sue Neff, and I are both trail riders here in the Trail Riding Capital of the Southeast so we keep our eyes open and ears to the ground, always receptive to opportunities for marketing horse properties to horse people.
It seemed like the proverbial "Golden Opportunity" when we got some information from the Backcountry Trail Riders of North Georgia, telling us about their upcoming four-day ride at the renowned East Fork Stables, just south of Jamestown, Tennessee. With over 200 riders attending, we agreed to sponsor and staff a table in the East Fork pavilion.
We brought a half-mannequin for our table and dressed him/her/it in a teeshirt silk screened with all of the ride's sponsors. We had bowls filled with free give-away items with our logo, including insulated lunch bags, bottle openers, little mirrors, mini first aid kits and Frisbees. The big attraction, though, was our drawing for a free weekend at East Fork…no strings attached.
We debated about having the winner tour some properties during that time but decided just to let them come and enjoy themselves….they will tell many riding buddies how pleased they are and that will repay us ten times over.
This kind of thing is called "going the extra mile." We advertise ourselves as the Big South Fork's PREMIER realtor for equestrian communities and horse properties….because we ARE!
