Do I Really Have To Go To My Nephews' Soccer Marathon?

Last week was an incredibly busy week. Agents' closings, buyers anxious to meet the tax credit deadline and the general duties of a broker have kept me moving all week. I believe a long Saturday at the spa was calling my name. Really! I believe I heard a summons! My TGIF celebration came to a temporary halt when I received a call from my sister. She wanted me to attend my nephew's soccer marathon. Hmmm... not how I was hoping to spend my Saturday. Oh, did you notice that it was a soccer marathon and it started at 8am?

Nevertheless, I felt it was important to spend the day (at least half of the day) in the sun with my nephew. Unfortunately, there was an awful thunder storm Saturday morning. When I received the call that the marathon was cancelled, I knew I would be able to live with the news. Nevertheless, I was happy that I chose family. Family is important. No matter how busy and consumed with our own lives, family is important. This is what I was thinking as I crawled back into bed.

Glad you chose family--they have to come first.  I am raising my niece and nephew, and I learned this the hard way.   I work hard to get them things, but they only want me and my most precious  asset--time.  You have your priorities in order.
