As I mentioned in Tip 1, when you think about it, it just doesn't make sense to buy a home for someone else and yet that is exactly what renting is.  Renting is buying the house for the landlord instead of buying the house for yourself.
You've seen rent to own and lease to own places spring up all over the place.  Why is this?  Because there is big money in this business.  Why not make some of this big money yourself?  I can help you find houses for sale that will do a lease to own.
In a nutshell, the seller of a house will let you buy the house from them by making payments to the seller for a period of one or two years.  The bulk of the payment will be kept by the seller as a kind of "interest" and a very small amount will be applied toward your principal.  Let's say the payment amount is $700 per month.  $600 per month will go to the seller as interest and $100 would go into an account to be applied as a down payment on the home.
In two years, you would have $2400 saved up as a down payment.  In fact, if you paid ahead say at the rate of $800 per month, then you would have $200 per month saved up or $4800.  After you own the home and you get ready to sell it, then you can sell the home to someone else on a rent to own basis.
