I am so excited the Farmers Market is back up and running in Pawleys Island. I love getting fresh veggies and fruits with a multitude of other things right from our own community! And did I say "FRESH"!!! This is especially heaven for Mom's and families. I just sleep a little better knowing my children are getting real fresh foods!

the Pawleys Island Farmers Market has moved to an A.M. opening time for 2010, with operating hours now set for Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Parkersville Park (located on Duncan Road in Pawleys Island; turn west onto Parkersville Road off Hwy. 17, next to the Holiday Inn Express.

The Pawleys Island Farmers Market runs each Wednesday through Oct. 27, and is once again sponsored by the Georgetown County Parks and Recreation Department and Pawleys Island & Litchfield Business Association.

Here's a short list of what you may find:

Beans, beets, cabbage, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, turnip greens, lettuce, okra, onions, peanuts, bell peppers, potatoes, summer squash, tomatoes, turnips, zucchini, apples, cantaloupe, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, flounder, shrimp, goat cheese, carrot cake, annuals, perennials, bedding plants, barbeque sauces, maple syrup, honey, jams and jellies, molasses and homemade products. The market features fresh fruits and vegetables, including seasonal favorites such as strawberries, and more. Sources: City of Myrtle Beach; Pawleys Island & Litchfield Business Association

Yummy!!! I hope everyone local in our Pawleys Island area comes out and supports it. Just one of the many more reasons to consider buying a home in Pawleys Island!

Hope to see many of you locals there!!

I haven't seen a Farmer's Market in years.  We don't have one of those out here in the desert (Las Vegas) as far as I know.

Hi Jennifer - This pic makes me feel a little guilty about having pizza for lunch! I like that you have a little fish and seafood at your market -- one stop for a whole meal.

Jennifer,

What great looking veggies. Large and so colorful. Makes me hungry looking at them. :)

Hi Jean,

You are soooo right, I just bought some tomatoes Sat. YUMMY!! I am with Keller Williams, if I can help you in anyway, let me know. ATT service is ok...depending on where you are. I know many of my friends with Iphones have limited service inside my home and I live in the heart of Pawleys. But outside, on road and other areas seem to be pretty good. Chances are if they are outside of the building, again, depending on where exactly you staying they should be able to use them.

After all, what WOULD they do without their phones....LOL!!!

Give me a call if you guys need anything. 843-457-2167
