I am so excited the Farmers Market is back up and running in Pawleys Island. I love getting fresh veggies and fruits with a multitude of other things right from our own community! And did I say "FRESH"!!! This is especially heaven for Mom's and families. I just sleep a little better knowing my children are getting real fresh foods!
the Pawleys Island Farmers Market has moved to an A.M. opening time for 2010, with operating hours now set for Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Parkersville Park (located on Duncan Road in Pawleys Island; turn west onto Parkersville Road off Hwy. 17, next to the Holiday Inn Express.
The Pawleys Island Farmers Market runs each Wednesday through Oct. 27, and is once again sponsored by the Georgetown County Parks and Recreation Department and Pawleys Island & Litchfield Business Association.
Here's a short list of what you may find:
Beans, beets, cabbage, corn, cucumbers, eggplant, turnip greens, lettuce, okra, onions, peanuts, bell peppers, potatoes, summer squash, tomatoes, turnips, zucchini, apples, cantaloupe, peaches, blueberries, strawberries, watermelon, flounder, shrimp, goat cheese, carrot cake, annuals, perennials, bedding plants, barbeque sauces, maple syrup, honey, jams and jellies, molasses and homemade products.
