Buying a Home in Need of Repair Doesn't Have to Drain Your Pockets

Buying a home in need of repairs doesn't have to drain your pockets.  If you are finding homes in your price range and ideal neighborhood but either they will cost you thousands of dollars to repair or they don't meet lender requirements, we have the solution!  Three of my fellow Lyon agents and I invite you to come to our free Turn Key Renovation Seminar and see what we can do to help. Email me at driley@golyon.com to reserve your spot.  (Even though this event has passed, I am so excited about the program, and encourage you to contact me for information.  Think about bank owned homes where the previous owners have stripped it or even worse damaged walls, tile, etc., think about the older home where it is livable but needs updating.  Many times it takes all of a buyer's savings just to make the down payment and pay the closing costs and there is little to no money left over after the sale to put into the house.  There is a solution!)

Good luck with your seminar. Many home buyers use FHA 203(k) financing to include the cost of repairs in the amount of the first mortgage.

Thank you Roy.  That is exactly the concept! As tough as the bank are these days about things being "As Is" coupled with the condition of the home we're seeing make this almost a must to at least be aware of!  Have a great day!
