2009 MUD TAX Refund Dispersed~Canyon Creek Austin Texas
On February 4th, 2010 the North West MUD #1 was dissolved when the City of Austin assumed the MUD’s position on any contacts or issues. With victory achieved to end the “double taxation” the Canyon Creek residents are obliged to acknowledge we owe a debt of gratitude to our extraordinarily competent attorney, Mr. Greg Coleman who with much diligence won our case against the City of Austin. We can now enjoy a tax rate comparable to our surrounding communities!
Last week, I received my full 2009 MUD tax refund in the mail with a letter from the City of Austin, naming Mr. Rusty Cobern (512) 972-0394, as the contact for any errors in tax refunds. All residents should be getting your checks very soon if you haven't already. There have been some issues concerning misdirected tax refund checks for those who sold their homes in 2008 & 2009. Please contact Rusty Cobern to correct any errors.
