A Local Restaurant in Norwalk, CT - Dry Dock Cafe

A Local Restaurant in Norwalk, CT - Dry Dock Cafe            is a spot my husband and I frequent perhaps as often as twice a week.   It is a casual, comfortable restaurant one can go to in any attire, anytime.    After a busy day selling real estate in the Wilton and Norwalk area, it is the perfect end to the day.

The menu, atmosphere, wait staff, clientele, and food are ALWAYS consistently fabulous.    In this recession, we have yet to go there, and not find it very busy.  A lot of restaurants have gone out of business during these last few years.    It is always full, we never wait long, and whether we have a group of 2 or 6 of us, they are always able to accommodate us fairly quickly.   A lot of our friends from Wilton and Norwalk also find The Dry Dock Cafe to be their favorite spot.

The bar area is always crowded, and has 5 large TVs on at all times, and each with a  different station - all sports.   The owner, Miles, is now fairly frequently tending the bar,  getting to know his clientele better.    He is one who remembers faces and names, and will go out of his way to make you feel special.  The Dry Dock is also well known for its super high chairs and high tables.  Its kind of fun to sit there, dangling your feet while eating the best burgers in Norwalk.    The menu consists of great burgers, salads, really thin crust pizzas, and various other specials.

The wait staff are always friendly, eager to please, and excellent.   The restaurant has a crowded bar with 5 TVs and four tables with high chairs in one half, and the other half is all high tables and chairs, some seating two, four or six.    The wooden tables and chairs and paneled walls of the Dry Dock Cafe all create a cozy atmosphere.  One would think that on Main Avenue in Norwalk, near Wilton, one would only find a local clientele, but we have found many of our friends from the surrounding towns there.    The cost
is reasonable, the place great, and food awesome!
