Constant Communication is Key

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty Homes and Estates, Smithtown/Hauppauge

In this business it's so important to work with a Real Estate Professional who strives to serve their client with the most reliable service they can possibly offer.

Communication is probably the single most important part of working with a client, whether on the listing side or buyer side.

It's all about Listening to what your client wants.  Remember "people are people" and clients are people too... who just want to be heard.

Granted, I know this is business and "business is business", ( ...we're all here trying to achieve the same common goal and that is to sell your home or to find you a home ! )

In order for me to "successfully" do my job, it's an absolute must to have a constant exchange of communication.

...So,let's get down to business and set the ground rules here:

1. You tell me what you "want" and I will listen.

(constant contact,..the beauty of technology!!)

2. I promise No-with holding (only honest communication)

3. Trust is built through constant communication. (I want and need you to trust me to do my job.)

Whether talking "price change" or deciding on an initial "offer", communication must be an open exchange where everyone is happy. These are the conversations that need to happen for success.

Remember, ...for a seamless transaction to be communication is key.

Angela, once we have a client in hand we need to treat them like it is a marriage.  If in a marriage we don't have communication it ends up in a divorce.  Well the same goes for working with a client, if we don't communicate it ends up in a separation and they will go elsewhere.  I agree with Ralph, I wish I would of had the follow up system years ago that we have in place now.

Well said Angela.

Without consistent and honest communication, any relationship, be it business or personal, breaks down.

Craig,  Thank you...I appreciate your comment.  BTW, I have family in Knightdale ?  How is that market and the Raleigh area? I know  it's Hub for Engineers right now.
