How To Learn How To Build Your Own Website...By Doing It...Risk-Free

Yesterday I wrote about how I learned about building my own website by doing it.

Today, I'd like to invite you to do the same thing: learn about building your own website by doing it.

And to make the invitation appealing, you can learn by doing it...totally risk-free.

Site Sell, the company that offers the Site Build It! program that I use, offers a 30-day total satisfaction guarantee.

So here is what I suggest.

First, decide if you can commit an average of 1 hour per day over the next 30 days to learning more about building and promoting your own website.

If you cannot make this commitment, you may skip the rest of this post. Thanks for reading this far.

However, if you can make the commitment, go to four steps to website success and follow the links to buy the Site Build It! program.

Next, once you have received your user ID and password, work through the 10-day Action Guide at your own pace. Each day refers to a single step...not a full calendar day.

Try to complete at least the first 5 days of the 10-day action guide within your 30 day trial period.

These 5 'days' are pure learning and research. At the end of these 5 'days' you will be well prepared to register your own well-researched domain name and poentially succesul website.

During this 30-day period, you will have full access to all SBI resources, including

  • research tools
  • site building tools
  • user forums
  • online help
  • personal email support.

However, this access represents a mixed blessing.

There is just too much information for people like you and me. It is far too easy to become either or both of overwhelmed and distracted.

While I am offering warnings, here is another one.

As much as I am embarrassed to admit it, most of the material that you will read has been dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.

Try to avoid my mistake of making the material more difficult and complex than it really is.

At the end of 30 days, ask yourself these questions:

  1. Do I know more about building and promoting my own website now than I did 30 days ago?
  2. Do I like SBI well enough to continue?

If the answer to either of these questions is no, ask for your refund.

It really is that simple. In the next 30 days, how much do you want to learn about building and promoting your own website?

In the unlikely event you encounter any kind of a problem that SBI! help and suppor resources cannot answer, let me know and I will do whatever I can to help sort it out.

If you like, think of this opportunity as a training program, with a difference.

The difference is that can get your money back 30 days after you have started.

One more thing: this offer is not limited to ActiveRain members.

If you know some one who is struggling with starting or upgrading their website, send them the link to this blog so that they too can learn by doing.

What better way to enhance a relationship than by connecting your contacts with helpful resources...especially when it doesn't cost you anything to pass on the information.

Enough talk...just do it.

You have nothing to lose and lots to learn.

Larry,

I like the one hour per day approach for 30 days.

I'll have to bookmark this and come back once the real estate market settles down for the summer.

I think I would have an hour per day in July - August.

Larry - Sounds like a good plan. I need a couple of simple websites and am not fond of paying the fees to my  webmaster. I'll take a look.

Thanks for sharing, one little step at a time. I'm going to try this out this weekend.
