Harford County, Maryland: Improvements Continue at I-95 / Rte 24
The saying was created for highway construction sites, but it could apply at anytime.
"Stay Alert So No One Gets Hurt"
While keeping this excellent advice in mind, recognize that improvement to the Junctions at Rte 24 and I-95 and Rte 24 and Emmorton / Tollgate Roads is progressing as scheduled.
The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) began Phase 2 of construction of the I-95/ MD 24 Improvement Project last September. As part of Phase 2, a temporary detour road and intersection at MD 24 and MD 924 was completed. This road was put into service to allow for construction of the future interchange bridge and ramps.
Please follow the link below to see how this interchange will appear upon project completion in 2011.

The improved interchange will consist of an overpass bridge on MD 24 that will carry through traffic over MD 924 and Tollgate Road as well as a signalized intersection for MD 924 and Tollgate Road motorists. Once complete it will help improve safety, reduce congestion and provide sufficient traffic capacity to serve existing and future development needs in the surrounding area.
If you would like to leave a message for the I-95/MD 24 Project Team, please call 1-877-368-1141 and someone will return your call.
The MDTA thanks your for your patience during construction and reminds you to ‘Stay Alert So No Ones Gets Hurt' while traveling through work zones.
