Debra, this little section of Wayne is grandfathered to have horse properties on less than four acres. The code says 1 horse acre if the property if property is zoned as a horse property despite total acreage. Not a lot of space for turnout, so these owners bring in a lot of hay. The area adjoins 1000s of acres of forest preserve and a great trail system so the area is popular for a lower priced place to keep your guys and home and not have to trailer. Do you have a buyer for us? :-)
I was curious because by us they are so strict and you have to have more property depending on the area. Two acres alot of times wouldn't allow anything. So on 2 acres they could have 2 horses? That is really nice especially adjoining a forest preserve!
