Life without the Rain
Up until about a year ago I never knew Active Rain existed. I still managed to run a successful business and worked just as many hours as I do now. Then one day I stumbled across ActiveRain and things changed. At first I joined but didn't really participate much, then late last year I started to actually read the posts of my fellow Rainer's and became quite addicted to the info that was posted by them. Here we are less than six months later and I find myself being angry if I can't get my ActiveRain fix. I worry about some folks as they post daily about their frustration and while it may let out a little pressure for them does nothing for the multitude actually reading and enjoying the posts. We have all been experiencing the server errors and bad gateways but there is still a wealth of info being shared everyday if you are looking to read and the constant flow of complaints is probably not going to fix things any quicker. Some people have used the "down time" to work on other areas of their life. I see Russel Ray joined FaceBook, I decided to get out and learn how to golf so I have been hitting the driving range. I still pop on and catch up on my posts but to spend my day hitting the Enter button knowing the result before I push it seems a little insane for me. I am sure one day soon the servers will be repaired and we will all be back into our rhythm of reading, writing and posting error free but until then get out and enjoy life without the Rain.
