Brain Bowl - Not what you might think!
The Rotary Club of Spring Hill, Florida, held it's 18th Annual Middle School Brain Bowl today at the Explorer Middle School in Spring Hill.
This is an annual event with teams of students participating from the middle schools in the County. Explorer Middle School was last years winner and hosted the event. This year, six teams competed in five games and a final to determine the winning team.
These kids are smart! The brain bowl essentially is a contest of knowledge in quiz format. Questions come from the sciences, mathematics, English language, history, and anthropology.
To feed the brain, students, parents, and spectators were treated to pizza before the final game. There were awards for first and second place, all others were recognized as participants.
Members of the Rotary Club of Spring Hill, Florida, organize and conduct the event each year and many businesses and organizations sponsored the event to help with the cost. Thank you to all to help make this day a fun day!
