This weekend we, at The Robert and Brian Team, decided to take a break and head out on the Mountain Bike Trails of Tapia Canyon with a few close friends, and clients. When we're not busy selling real estate in the Santa Clarita Valley, which seems like almost never, we're usually dreaming about how to unwind and get away from the business, if not just for a few hours.
Tapia Canyon in Castaic seemed like a great idea to us, this past weekend. Tapia Canyon is located in Castaic, just east of the I-5 freeway. To reach the summit, and eventually embark on the very awesome downhill singletrack, we had to take a ride up Tapia Canyon Rd. It's a fire road mostly. It took about an hour to ascend. Deer crossing our path at 30 mph, and some bee hives were our only obstacles on this adventure. But in the end, neither ruined the day.
Finally reaching the summit was well worth the effort. And man was the downhill singletrack FUN! It's times like that, where I'm able to forget about the career, and focus on the moment. We can't wait to go again. We might even start inviting some of our favorite past clients who enjoy some good mountain bike fun, on a regular basis. Now that's building a good relationship, with your clientele!
Here are a few shots, from the moments we took for photo-ops. Really it was more about the break, catching our breath, and regaining our legs, since the hour climb to the summit was quite tiring, at times.
Never forget to take some time out of your life, to focus on YOU, and forget, at least for a few hours, about real estate.
