Quote Tweets With Twitter's Blackbird Pie

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Executives in Santa Clarita

If you'd like to quote, copy, or place an image of a Tweet that's relevant to a blog post you're working on, you can now do so much easier, thanks to Twitter's Blackbird Pie which just launched today.

To do so:

1) First find the "Time Stamp" below whatever tweet your heart desires. Hover over it with your mouse, and copy that shortcut. Or just click the link, and copy the URL in your browser- simple.

2) Then head over to Twitter's Blackbird Pie page.

3) Then paste the URL in step #1, into the space provided. Click the BAKE IT button. I guess they want you to bake the Blackbird Pie, whatever that is (not doing the research).

4) Simply look below, and you will see the ginormous HTML code that you simply copy. Obviously, just paste that HTML Blackbird Pie code, into the blog post that you're working on.

I would like to show you an example here but I can't, sorry. For some reason it looked half-way messed up when I tried to insert the HTML code - must have to do with A/R styling? I did a test blog on my wordpress blog, and the quote looked great! I since deleted that test blog. For those interested, try getting it to work on your ActiveRain blog, or any other blog platform you use. Good luck and enjoy!

There isn't an example...I noted that I was "sorry" that I couldn't provide a good example, because when I tried it on ActiveRain it did not turn out well. There must be something about the HTML code Blackbird Pie gives you...that doesn't agree with A/R? Unless there is a fix someone smarter than I can figure out. =) And I'm sure there is. Thanks for the comment.

It sounds interesting, I'll have to check it out, and maybe someone out there knows a good work around for ActiveRain.
