What? Working fro Free? Phoey!! That may have been my response before meeting my new customers. Here's the Skinny......
Friend and Customer referred this nice young couple to me. They are looking for a Rental. Im all about it and call them back. They begin to tell me that they rented a house and there was no working cooktop or refrigerator on day of move in. HUH??? Security and First month Rent were Paid. Hhhmmm, payment collected on a house that does not meet living requirements. I shoot an email over to the "Property Manager" and within 24 hours they get new appliances. Yaaay.
This week they call again. Roof is leaking over and onto the electrical box. WHAT! Property Manager is not responding to requests for repair. Did I mention they have a toddler and a 1 month old infant? They Do. I called and emailed this shyster and no response.
After many hours back and forth on the phone I got a Law Firm involved to help these Folks. Turns out the property management LLC has been dissolved (prior to renting the property) and the "property manager" is not a licensee, and no he does not own the property. The house is also lacking smoke detectors, it was built in the 1960's and NO Lead Based Paint Pamphlet or Disclosure was Provided.
The Better Business Bureau The DBPR and The FREC are all to be notified of this Gentelmans actions. Heres the kicker....he owns an Eviction Company. There Motto "We Bag 'em and Curb 'em" Another ad says they "take care of Deadbeat Tennants" REALLY??? A deadbeat Prop Manager going after Deadbeat Tennants.
I will be happy to go to court for these people should it get to that point.
