Summer... those lazy, hazy days....
Forget it.... It is time to roll up your sleeves and perform some much needed maintenance around the old homestead.
here are several items that should be addressed at this time.
1. Inspect exposed plumbing areas for dampness (twice per year)
2. Fix loose or cracked caulking around tiles, sinks, tubs, showers, toilets, and counters
3. Inspect appliance hoses and ventilation according to owner's manuals
4. Power wash, repair, refinish, and seal decks, reset any protruding nails
5. Clean and lubricate sliding-glass-door tracks and window tracks
6. Lubricate door hinges and locks
7. Oil garage door(s)
8. Patch driveway and other concrete, or treat asphalt
9. Perform seasonal pest control (quarterly)
