It has been a while since I posted anything political into Active Rain, but today I must do what I can to speak up for what is right.
Read the sign in this photo taken at the May Day protest in Phoenix. The sign depicts an attitude that must be opposed with everything we have.
Is this not a SCARY THING? The mainstream media did not pick up the story, but a policeman was shot with an AK-47 while making a stop of a vehicle suspected of smuggling of illegals just a couple of days after our new law was signed. I believe this is behind the comment (threat) in red at the bottom of the sign.
My neighbor, who is a highly-skilled carpenter is about to lose his house to foreclosure. He has not had a job for around a year and one-half. However, there are carpenters who are illegal who have jobs here. The way I see it, an illegal has his job. My neighbor would really appreciate having a job so he would not lose his home.
My neighbor is paying a high price because the federal government is more focused on their agenda than in doing what is right. Of course they are supported by those in business who profit from the cheap labor and the fact that the illegals are also consumers.
The boycott of Arizona for taking a stand against illegal immigration is really WRONG and misguided.
