$35 Million - "The Glass Pavilion" in Montecito, California

There's a brilliant and breathtaking property on the market in Montecito, Santa Barbara County, California.

(Yes, the same Montecito where Oprah has her famous $50 Million home and where former Vice President Al Gore recently purchased a $9 Million Mansion).

Well-known Los Angeles designer, builder and Realtor - Steve Hermann of Steve Hermann Design - has listed what must be his biggest masterpiece to date: The Glass Pavilion, a 15,000 sq ft home set on 3.5 acres.

As per the listing website, this is "An almost entirely glass home ... it allows the occupants to be comfortably inside while completely enveloped within nature". The listing site, however, does not provide details of the accommodation or living spaces.

An extraordinary feature of the home is the art gallery, which can also double as a 32-car garage.

The pics of the property are incredible and show a stunning structure floating above gently rolling lawns.

I have no idea what this home is truly worth, but it's definitely a rare and unique offering.

Listed by Steve Hermann of Westside Estate Agency.

Now that is a real modern home but I think privacy is not an issue to them

Sorry, I'm just not enough of an exhibitionist to appreciate that home. I don't care how secluded the lot is. I would never be comfortable living in something like that. But it is pretty neat. And I would love to find a buyer for it. :) I love that the 32-car garage doubles as an art gallery -- I mean, the right cars *are* art, right?

A pricey but not a privacy pavillion.

It gives light/life to the old adage:  People who live in glass houses shouldn't.

What incredible space. I would love to call that home but the price tag is a bit steep.

This Home is Awesome.  Im sure the designer has included privacy for the bedrooms.  I think its amazing that the common areas are so open to the outdoors.  The overall design, shape, style and look is Outstanding.  I didnt see a pool.  Id take a pool over the 32 car garage.  BTW-whoever buys this home is NOT the person cleaning the windows....just sayin.  :)

While the home is gorgeous, it is making me anxious just looking at it. It would cost a fortune keeping all those windows clean! Sorry, its the home stager in me...

I just had a flashback to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Isn't that the same garage?
