Another Great Way to Keep Active and Celebrate Mother's Day as a Family:
On Sunday May 9, 2010 the Sandbanks Provincial Park located in Picton, Ontario is welcoming guests to its unofficial "Mother's Day Treat."
The Celebration will start at 9:00 a.m with a bird walk and wraps up at 2:00 p.m. with a leisurely wildflower walk.
The Sandbanks Provincial Park in Picton Ontario is well known as one of the finest beaches in the province. It has a beautiful golden sand on the beautiful Lake Ontario.
Some of the most unusual plants you may find are bluets, hoary puccoon, sea rocket etc. It also attracts may birds from the pileated woodpecker, white-throated sparrow, swamp sparrow, marsh wren and the little gull. It also is home to some small mammal's such as raccoons, chipmunks, hares, fox and deer.
