Networking

Networking is a great opportunity to meet with people in person. Be sure to wear your name badge.  It will make someone feel comfortable speaking with you right from the start. They won't spend their time trying to remember your name. Instead they will be listening to what you are saying. If you don't remember their name, you could introduce to them to someone you know, "HI this is___", wait and they will they says HI I'm ___ to that person and you can get there name. Or you can say tactfully say "I'm sorry, what was your name again"and usually they won't be offended. Also repeat their name when you are talking with them, 1) you'll remember their name easier and 2) they say that there is no sweeter sound then the sound of your name.
