Buyer's Market In Chestermere!

In Chestermere at the end of July we are sitting with over 100 listings. During July 34 homes sold and 11 sales are still pending. 11 listings expired. We could definitely use a few more buyers, but we are not in a desperate situation. The Chestermere market can easily have 80 listings and be a balanced market. Lakefront homes

There are seven lakefront lisitngs with only 2 listed under 1 million. During July one lakefront sold for over $1,500,000 and another lakefront home sale is pending for over $1,000,000. We represented both the buyers and the sellers on these transactions. We have been working with quite a few lakefront buyers hoping to stay around the 1-1.1 million mark. As September rolls in I am sure that this market will move back into a more balanced market.

I cant believe house prices in Calgary and area I left in 01 and sold in elbow park, should of keep my place. How can you tell what prices are going to do. My cousin lives on the lake you might know him he owns a big auto body shop in Calgary.

Hi Marjorie and Doug, Very interesting blog, thanks for posting these stats. WoW, prices in Alberta have skyrocketed, to put it mildly.

I'll keep you in mind if I hear of any buyers headed your way.  ((-:
