Look, I like chips and guacamole as much as the next person, but not as much as Aaron Brady Smith, 23,Avocado and Randy Paul Navarro, 24 apparently. Both gentlemen are from Wildomar and were booked Wednesday suspicion of converting more than $100 worth of real estate (about 200 pounds of avocados which were recovered) into personal property, which is grand theft.

Around noon on Wednesday, May 5th, he owner from Calixto Avocado Grove noticed a black Honda Accord parked along Los Gatos Road and saw two suspects removing avocados from his property. He immediately called the Riverside Sheriff's Department but the suspects fled the area prior to the deputy's arrival.  Luckily, Deputy Rick Donoho located the suspect vehicle approximately one mile from the location of the theft and was able to detain two possible suspects. The Sheriff's Department contacted witnesses, who were able to positively identify the detained suspects as the persons responsible for the avocado theft.

I have to say, I don't think it will ever catch on as a video game. ;-)

I am certainly not in favor of avocado theft, or any kind of theft for that matter, but worse things could happen. If they were hungry I guess it would be more understandable but 200 pounds is a bit much to argue for that.
