Apprentices Unite! Kevin Tomlinson, Mary Pope-Handy and Tisza Major-Posner stumble upon the Sellsius bus in San Francisco.
"I can resist anything but temptation" the saying goes.

We really did intend to behave, honest.

But Tisza, Kevin and I just couldn't help ourselves. Tisza and I had just picked Kevin up from San Farncisco's airport and we were meandering toward The Cliff House, where I wanted them to enjoy a great view and great food with some neat ambiance.

Skirting the edge of Golden Gate Park, Tisza cried out, "That's the Blog Bus!!" It took about a quarter of a second for us to realize that this was too good to pass up.

A few turns later, we were parked behind the RV, plastering it with business cards and post it notes.

Kevin stuck a post-it next to Ardell's image with a comment that said, "Call me, I'm easy" and thoughtfully included her (real) phone number. (Not posted since I don't want to cause Ardell to get true harassment about it.)

Oh, the fates must have loved us to present an opportunity so perfect!

Mary Pope-Handy, Tisza Major-Posner and Kevin Tomlinson enjoy lunch at The Cliff House in San Francisco on July 31, 2007, before Bloggers ConnectCalming our giddy souls down, we resumed our regularly scheduled search for food. Tisza got us out to The Cliff House, which was originally founded in 1850 (that's old for here!) and we enjoyed a nice selection of food - I think all of us had some sort of shellfish or another in our table at the window.

That darned fog was there in SF too, but both Kevin and Tisza seemed to revel in it. "I could live here" Kevin said, "Fog is what you think of with San Francisco" said Tisza, making sure I understood that she'd have been disappointed without it.

Go figure!

Lunch was great, Kev insisted on treating (all the while insistng what a mean guy he is - we were not buying it). And then, Tourist Time. First a ride across the Golden Gate Bridge, then down Lombard Street, and finally up Telegraph Hill to Coit Tower. Great views as the fog was (finally) clearing.

Here are some pics for you to enjoy:

What fun it's been reading these last 2 blogs you've done! It sounds like you and Tisza got along wonderfully and had an AWESOME time!  It's been a blast reading about it all and seeing the great pictures.

Thanks Mary!  We ALL had a lot of fun. I so loved meeting Cheryl Johnson, and Frances Flynn Thorsen, and sooo many people I'd be afraid of starting a list for fear of leaving people off!

Tisza is EXACTLY like she is in her blog - very, very talkative!  Kevin always says how mean he is, but then he insists on picking up the tab so we have a tiny credibility problem there - he's actually a real sweetheart in person.

So much fun.

More pics to come!

OH man.  As I said somewhere before--MPH is soooooo nice, it is scary.  She made a comment once when I was doing my infamous "Lincoln Road" post that she was sorry that it took me 16 hours to do the post.  Now after meeting her, I know she REALLY meant it.  That is why we got along:  exact opposites.

Good times.  We took so many pics!  Every time a picture was taken MPH would shout "NO HIPS".  LOLOLO

I'm laughing so hard right now.  NO HIPS!

Tisza am I exaggerating?

O.k. Mary,

Good intentions humm...you know what they say about people with good intentions, right?

Looks like you three had a great time in S.F., your photos show that loud and clear. Great job by all three of you!  And CONGRATS on your winning blog http://liveinlosgatos.realtownblogs.com, I've been there a couple of times myself.

Kevin you aren't exaggerating. It's almost a family byword when anyone comes near us females from the Buckley clan with a camera. We were all just born into the wrong century (that is, we weren't born when abundant figures equalled unparalleled beauty). See, God does have a sense of humor.

NO HIPS! :-)

Love ya, Kevin!

Love the Cliff House. I could watch the seals all day. And If I remember correctly, they have a museum of some sort on the lower level with lots of old time (early 1900's) of the building and the "swimming pool".

Sybil I *do* love that place, it is one of my favs. Bill Cosby did a skit on driving in San Francisco and dying because of the hills and joked that with Lomard Street they're not satisfied with you just killing yourself by rolling into the bay, they plant little flowers on all the curves as a memorial to those who've died...it's very funny.

Fred me too. It's been around for over 150 years and (as I bored Kevin and Tisza with the tale), my great-grandmother had a birthday party there in which my grandmother (her future daughter in law) announced her engagement. I just love that connection.  We didn't go downstairs but you're right about the gallery of pics!

Vicki thanks - we really did have so much fun. I only wish that more of the apprentices could have been there. It's so much like our real estate lives where our competitors are ALSO our friends.
