I take this opportunity to wish my Mom Happy Mother's Day. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made for me and my brothers. You have taught me by example . Thank you for listening and for being the best Mom anyone could ever ask for.Thank you for the great advice you give me when I can't think straight.Thank you for being a good listener.
My Mother lost her mother when she was just three years old and I am amazed at how she learned to be a good Mother without having a mother to look up to.. My Grandfather was both a Father and Mother to my Mom and her brothers and sisters. My maternal grandmother moved in with them and took care of them but it is not the same .
My Mom has many talents . She was good at academics and sports in school.However in those days it was not common for girls to go to college. She is great at cooking,sewing and embroidery .When I was in college we used to go shopping together and buy fabric and she made a dress for me the following day. I have been thinking of compiling her recipes to share with future generations. She loves to read almost anything.She therefore has knowledge about economics,finance,medicine,politics ,feng shui and natural mediciens. Some of her natural therapy has helped me when I have had a cold or cough.
Besides being a great Mom my Mom is a wonderful grandmother to my Son and my nieces and nephews. She was a Wonderful wife to my Dad .They would have been married 60 years in February.He passed away in September.
I thank God for I am blessed with a wonderful Mother and a wonderful Family.
