With the doom and gloomers telling us that the real estate market will be down in the Phoenix Arizona market for another 12-24 months, I decided to forge ahead and focus on retooling my marketing tools. 

 I took a class last summer by a business coach named Peter Montoya  www.petermontoya.com

He teaches a class called the one year marketing class.  So like most professionals who want to learn how to run their business more profitable, I decided to attend his class.  What I got out of the class, is now helping me in this down and out market.  Here are some quick tools that is helping me stand out and apart from my competition.

1.  The most important thing I got from his class was to NOT try to be a fit for everyone.  He taught to take a one or two things that your good at and focus or specialize in those areas.  Such as the Condo King, or in my case a first-time homebuyer expert.  By creating a niche, it sets you apart from your competition.

2.  He then showed and guided you on how to create your entire marketing materials around this concept. 

Earlier this year from his teachings, I created a high end professional 4 color brochure and made this my unique marketing piece.  I got so much postive feedback from my brochure, that now I have a marketing company who is working with me to re-tool all my marketing campaigns to have that unique brand for my business.

This is another way to stand out in a very competitive market.

Agreed, we all have to refocus and hone in on certain markets that we want to work. And we have to get out of the mind set of doom and gloom. Best of luck on what you are doing, sounds as though it is working.
