A Letter to Mom - Happy Mother's Day

Dear Mom,
Words cannot adequately express how much you mean to me. You are my rock and my fortress. You have made me the person I am today. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made for me. You put my health and welfare ahead of your own. Not just one day, but for years. Thanks you for the values you have instilled in me.

I appreciate the fact that you were always very candid with me. When I needed counsel, I was very comfortable to seek you out. The little things you do and say are as powerful today as they were when I was growing up. The things you said to me did not go un-noticed. Here is a list of some of my favorites:

Tell the truth always.
Be Kind
Work Hard
Be Considerate
Don't Ditch your classes
Be Slow to Anger
Change your Underwear Daily
Brush your teeth after each Meal
Floss Nightly
Always Grace your meal
Say a Prayer each Day
Save for Mr. Rainy Day
Say Please when You ask for Anything and Thank You when You Get it
Take care of your children
Don't Settle for Second Best
Never Play Victim

Hi Lloyd - yep, families are great. My mom had a few sayings, too:

never go to bed angry (sage advice)
God's in his heaven, all's right with the world (which drove my brother bonkers!), and
"you are my sunshine, my only sunshine" (too corny, but it would make us feel great, nonetheless)
