Another weekend and again I find myself calling the rude and insensitive agents who cannot find time to call or e mail with feedback after showing my clients homes. A smarmy "well, you should have set more realistic expectations" from one stellar agent has me pretty teed off. "Realistic expectations?"!!! Oh, that would be to expect the courtesy of one minute of your precious time? Or would it be that you are the professional that your advertising claims you to be? I find myself calling this same agent every time there is a showing, and actually, any agent from this office. I wish I could block them until they sign an agreement that they will treat my clients as respectfully as they treat their listing presentation clients..for I am sure that their actual listing customers are treated with just about as much respect. If this is you, admit it and step up, and if it not you, thank you for the morning vent time!!!
Feedback is often a rarity here as well. Usually, the response is (if I have to call) "If my buyer's are interested you'll get feedback in the form of an offer". I have decided to now just give the sellers the "realistic expectations" that they may not get feedback. Frustrating, i know.
I am not sure I totally agree with you. In our MLs we get an electronic message often , if you synch your lock boxes for feedback. Other agents call for feedback. Others send you an automated message for feedback. I always give feed back and take my time doing it. If a miss a call I call back. But I expect the rfeedback request to be initiated by the listing agent.
I think that if you take the time to call the agent should do their best to give feedback! I try to give feedback and if I don't get it from another agent when they show my listing then I tell the clients.....We are continually amazed at how many agents are to "busy" to give feedback! Hmmmm
Our showing desk sends an immediate request for feedback after the time of the appoinment. I send a personal request via e mail usually the same day..and then the phone call a day later. If I have an elderly or nervous client, they are waiting anxiously for feedback one way or the other, I do not like to increase their stress beyond what they are already experiencing in selling their home.
