If you are from White Sulphur Springs, and you want to show your age. The Buzz In convenience store is a blast from the past for us old timers! That is if you can remember back that far! For years the very first modern convenience store was just on the corner of Main Street and Mountain Avenue.
I'm sure if you can remember the store in its orginial location, you also remember going and getting slurpy's and ice cream and candy. It was quite an item when the old Green Devils Jr. High was in town, all of us kids use to make a trip to town for lunch. Everyone use to keep the downtown merchants busy around lunch time. Now that is a blast from the past!
But in 2010 the New Buzz-In is back in full swing! Located just beside the city park in town the new Buzz-In is open for buisness. The store has a unique black and yellow bumble bee sign above the entrance to the updated store. The building has seen its share of history once a former local grocery store and arcade and movie rental store in the past. But the store has been updated and renovated and ready to serve you!
The store offers Breakfast starting @ 5:30 am biscuits and BLT's are their specalties. Something quick and on the go for all of us heading off to work. Lunch begins around 11:00 AM, they serve Pizza, Calzones, and Pepperoni Rolls, Hot Dogs, Barbecue, Wings, and many other quick luch items. And if you forget the necessities they sell groceries too!
Downtown White Sulphur Springs has been getting a number of new local store fronts and merchants. It is great to see things are getting started again in the Spa City. Do your part and be a member of the 3/50 program. Support your local merchants!
