The property consists of a lovely, and very livable home, an amazing artist studio and 500 feet of water frontage in Northern New Mexico near Taos

The community of Dixon where the house is located is an artist's colony.  The Dixon Art Fair takes place every November and thousands of visitors come from all over the USA to attend. 

 Local Artists open their studios up and sell their arts and crafts from the comfort of their workplaces.  Nice to have the buyers come to you!

The main house is fashioned after an older adobe home, but because it was built in 1999, the amenities are very contemporary. The house is constructed of pumice which is a very temperature efficient building material.

The Great room includes a living room, kitchen and dining area.  Off of the living area is a wonderful porch which is covered and get great sunlight.

The master bedroom has fine storage and is quite large and comfortable. A very nice bathroom is connected to the master bedroom.  All of the rooms in the home have multiple windows and consequently great light.

The Studio was added to the property in 2007-2008.  It consists of a large work/display area and large windows all around.  Attached to the studio is another bedroom and bath which could be used for guests.

A one car garage and a shed are also included on the property which abuts BLM land.  The entrance to the property from the main road in Dixon is across a bridge which spans the Rio Embudo.

The entire property is private.  The mountain on the north side of the property protects the privacy, the south side of the property runs along the river, and to the east borders BLM land which can only be accessed by crossing the bridge to the property.  Private yet close to Taos, and lots of amenities in Dixon and Santa Fe, the home and guesthouse are ideal for creating great works of art.
