"It's a funny thing about life: If you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it."
-Somerset Maugham
The super successful or the 2%er's if you will live by this standard. They flat out expect nothing but the best from themselves and the people around them in everything they do. They get up early, stay up late, make the one last phone call, do one last set at the gym, they shoot the extra 50 jump shots after practice. These folks are the same as everyone else except they hold themselves to a higher standard.
We live in the greatest country on earth. Any man, woman, child can design the life of their dreams simply by not accepting anything less than the best from themselves. I have a few questions for you.
#1-Take a honest look at your life and career, are you accepting less than what your worth, less than what you are capable of?
#2 What is it costing you everyday by not demanding more of yourself?
#3 If you're accepting less than the best what has to happen for you to change your standards?
Some of you reading this will say you're perfectly happy where you're at in life and that's ok. I'm not suggesting you shouldn't be. However if you're someone who is looking to improve any aspect of your life I challenge you to start with you, not with tools or systems. We all already have the most powerful tool in the world and the ability to use if for free. Most of us just don't understand the power we already have inside of ourselves.
Again like anything I post, there are no wrong answers. I just ask that you be completely honest with yourself.
To your continued growth and success!

This is a great post and a subject that I've been struggling with this week. I had some people let me down last week and I was stuck in the water. I've spent this week asking myself this very question and the answer is - yes it's ok to have high standards. If you only work the best, you'll get the best in return and you will grow in the process.
Now it's about how to find those people with the same high standards or the other 2%ers.
